Travelling across the oceans and discovering the riches of the world from an expedition yacht is a dream that many of us share. However, when it comes to getting personally involved in a project and putting in the hard work, volunteers are harder to come by!
In the early hours of the Atlas Expeditions project, Albert immediately volunteered. He is did not come to take long naps in the light breeze, but to get his hands dirty. He has a strong and demanding, sensitive and meticulous personality and demands his share of work from the very first hours of the day!
Coming from a region of the Swiss Jura with a rich mining and metallurgical past, Albert has made a career in precision mechanics. Now in an early retirement, he’s able to find some precious time to brings his precious expertise and his talents onboard!
He has been with us each one of the four last years and greatly contributed to improve the Atlas:
- in 2017 he joins Atlas in the Netherlands, in the historic maritime city of Enkhuizen.
- in 2018 in Saint-Malo, at the Minihic-sur-Rance shipyard
- in 2019 at Seixal, on the south bank of the Tagus River
- in 2020 in the Azores!
Thank you Albert!
